The exact location is about 20 km to the east from the last point that the aircraft detected in Karimata Strait on last Sunday.

Dwi Putranto, chief of Navy at Pangkalan Bun said that the debris was like a tank and orange life vest. There are also another debris around the area observed as white and black pieces of aircraft.
