Space Shuttle Endeavour Final Flight Aircraft Wallpaper
NASA's aircraft carrier, Boeing 747 lifts Space Shuttle Endeavour after took off from Edwards Air Force Base. This was final ferry flight into history for Endeavour. This photo taken on September 21, 2012 above desert of Southern California.
Endeavour flew to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for arrival ceremony and transferred to its permanent home at California Science Center on October 2012. There is still Atlantis on NASA operation in STS-135 mission.
The Space Shuttle retired from its duty after nearly 20 years within NASA's operation. The last operation was STS-134 in May 2011. Back in 1987, The US Congress approved the construction of Endeavour in term to replace Challenger, after major accident after 73 seconds launched.
