Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a widebody and long-range commercial passengers aircraft. The 787-9 variant is the stretched version of original Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The aircraft first flight and announced in 2009 then first delivery to All Nippon Airways (ANA) in 2011 as a launch customer.
While, Etihad Airways is the second largest airline in UAE (United Arab Emirates), the first one is Emirates. Headquartered near Abu Dhabi Airport in Khalifa City. Although, Etihad is the second largest in UAE, in fact the airline conduct more than 1,000 flights in a week for more than 120 destinations worldwide. According statistics in the last five years, they carried more than 10 million passengers in a year. Currently, they have received 4 787-9s from total firm order 41 787-9s, while Etihad also orders 31 Boeing 787-10s series.
